Job DescriptionJob Title: Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) - Jail Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing critical nursing services within a secure jail environment. This Night Shift RN position offers a unique opportunity to apply your assessment and hospital experience in a challenging, yet rewarding setting. Your expertise in medication administration via IV pump, blood draws, and patient assessments will directly impact inmate health and safety. Pay: $48 per hour Location: Philadelphia, PA Required Skills: Proven experience in completing comprehensive patient assessments Hospital nursing experience Ability to administer medications via IV pump accurately Proficiency in drawing blood samples Flexibility to float to other facilities as needed Strong communication skills for coordination with medical staff and infirmary staff Ability to work the required schedule including overnight shifts and every other weekend Preferred Education and Experience: Prior hospital nursing experience Certification in IV therapy or related credentials (if applicable, but not required to state here) Other Requirements: Availability to start at 7:00 PM and work until 7:30 AM Willingness to work every other weekend Ability to work rotating hours: one week 36 hours, following week 48 hours, alternating every other week Cell phones and smart watches are not permitted within the secure perimeter of the jail Family members can contact via infirmary number if needed Valid RN license required Why Choose Medical Edge?
