Position Summary The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with all applicable federal and Washington State employment and wage and hour laws and regulations. This role partners closely with Human Resources, Compliance, and Care Center leadership to consistently audit and proactively identify, review, and remediate potential risks. The HR Compliance Specialist conducts daily, weekly, and monthly compliance audits and ensures timely follow-up and resolution of identified issues. This position regularly interacts with Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, Care Center Administrators, Managers, and Supervisors to drive consistent and compliant wage and hour practices across the organization. The role reports directly to the Senior Manager, HR (Business Partner function) with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Vice President of Compliance. Schedule Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, flexible start time Key Duties and Responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Completes daily and weekly audits of HRIS data, identifying potential risks and following up with managers to ensure timely review, documentation, and remediation. Completes daily and weekly audits of time sheets, including review of meal and rest periods, hours worked, and pay practices. Partners with managers to ensure ongoing compliance. Conducts ongoing monitoring of employment and wage and hour compliance trends and escalates systemic or repeat issues as appropriate. Meets periodically with leaders to ensure prompt, consistent, and documented follow-up on all wage and hour issues. Provides training and guidance to managers on wage and hour management requirements, including how to run attestation and time sheet audits, key framing for employee and physician conversations, and how to update timesheets based on employee discussions. Performs audits of ongoing pay practices and runs bi-weekly payroll audits related to benefits Supports the compliance systems and associated data. Assist with HR and Compliance filings and reporting requirements. Ensure employment posters are distributed to all Proliance locations on an annual basis. Assess HR and compliance opportunities, document findings, and support the development of corrective action plans. Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance or HR programs and procedures. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required. Minimum of 2 years of HRIS reporting and system experience, Dayforce HRIS experience a plus. Minimum of 5+ years of progressive administrative experience required.2+ years of experience in HR, Compliance or Legal space preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Models Proliance values. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation. Basic understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels. High attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service orientation - responds to requests with empathy. Strong detail orientation. Completes work with precision and excellence.
