This individual will lead our DHA ITS III program Logistics and Procurement Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project logistics, procurement, and cradle-to-grave management of Government Furnished Property (GFP). This role requires a combination of strong leadership skills, logistic and procurement expertise, and a thorough understanding of the management of GFP. The Logistics and Procurement Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain and project delivery. Your future duties and responsibilities: Logistics Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing. Procurement Planning: Develop procurement strategies and plans to support project requirements, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services while optimizing costs. Project Management: Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure successful execution of logistics and procurement projects, from initiation to completion. Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate suppliers, and establish strong relationships to ensure quality, cost-effective procurement of materials and services. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to logistics and procurement activities. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing logistics/procurement activities and GFP, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD policies. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare or provide oversight on monthly status reports (inventory and financial), bi-annual GFE status reports, and provide planning, programming, and budgeting input as needed. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, procurement, and project management, preferably in a government contracting environment. Strong understanding of logistics principles, practices, and processes, with experience in defense life-cycle logistics support. Proven track record of successfully managing procurement projects, including supplier selection and performance management. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards governing logistics/procurement activities and GFP, including FAR and DoD procurement policies. Working knowledge of CMPro (Navy ERP and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment [PIEE] a plus), preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and online collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and/or logistics (e.g., DUA) preferred. Security Level: Must be eligible for, or able to obtain, a clearance.
