THIS POSITION MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE. THE AMOUNT OF TELEWORK IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DEPARTMENT AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS BUSINESS NEEDS ARISE. Under the supervision of the Supervisor I, Investigation Support Unit (ISU) Manager, the Analyst I performs work of average difficulty in a wide variety of analytical and administrative assignments for the Investigation Division (ID); performs as the Information Technology (IT) and Facilities single point of contact (SPOC); acts as backup for Budgets, and Training Coordinator; acts as a team member to support the efforts of the ISU and ID support staff on projects; and performs as a backup to other ISU staff. Gathers, researches, and analyzes information from the Employment Development Department (EDD) and outside entities; assists in writing or updating reports for ID management and prepares and submits all ID's IT Service Requests to the IT Branch. Under the direction of the Supervisor I, ISU Manager, the Analyst II performs the more complex work in a wide variety of analytical and administrative assignments for the ID; in a lead capacity performs as the IT and Facilities SPOC; acts as backup for Budgets, and Training Coordinator; acts as a lead to support the efforts of the ISU and ID support staff on projects; and performs as a backup to other ISU staff. Independently gathers, researches, and analyzes information from the EDD and outside entities; assists in writing or updating reports for ID management and prepares and submits all ID's IT Service Requests to the IT Branch. The incumbent demonstrates personal skill and initiative in communications and work habits; possesses knowledge or is inquisitive to locate and interpret relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; completes assignments independently in a timely and efficient manner within the form and format prescribed by the controlling entity of the task; and adheres to the EDD's policies regarding attendance, leave, conduct, and appearance. Independently analyzes, prepares, and coordinates multiple ISU responsibilities. Responsible for the ID daily mail pick-up and distribution; answering the ID main line and screening calls from claimants, law enforcement agencies, fraud victims, etc.; answering the ID main door, checking in, and escorting visitors, and providing clerical support to the ID. Acts as the SPOC for the following assigned responsibilities: Acts as backup for the following responsibilities: Training Coordinator for ID sworn and non-sworn staff. Assists ID's management team in assessing the training needs of the Division; acts as Division liaison with EDD University and the Comission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST); monitors, maintains, and ensures Division employee data is accurate on the Learning Management System and POST. ID Budget Coordinator, accurately tracks and completes ID's expenditure and various budget reports using fiscal data within established deadlines and provides less complex analysis of expenditures and projections. Presents reports to ID management. Works independently and as a team member on special projects assigned to the ISU; assists other ISU staff in performing ISU responsibilities to support the ID; provides administrative related assistance and guidance to ID management; and acts as liaison with local, State, and federal law enforcement agencies on personnel matters related to areas of responsibility.
