Position Overview: We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Crosslines team within the Actuarial Reserving Department. This position is a crucial individual contributor role responsible for enhancing and maintaining the quarterly processes that aggregate reserves across all property and casualty lines. You will play a key role in meeting statutory requirements and providing various reporting to support the Reserving Department. This role will give you valuable insights into the reserving processes and analysis across different lines, with significant visibility to management. You'll have the chance to build strong relationships with business partners and stakeholders in actuarial, claims, underwriting, and finance while supporting innovative reserving initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive reserving support across the department for all property and casualty lines. Coordinate quarterly timelines and duties while focusing on critical milestones. Develop a deep understanding of the department's reserving processes by maintaining and improving files that summarize all lines for the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors. Collaborate closely with the Crosslines Director to prepare summary materials for the Chief Reserving Actuary and Reserving AVPs for essential meetings with executive leadership. Enhance and maintain the department's data repository, gaining expertise in the TM1 Reserving Database. Compile materials to fulfill statutory requirements and periodic deliverables involving reserving data. Propose and implement process efficiencies to reduce complexity and improve accuracy, ensuring high-quality and timely work. Support significant reserving initiatives, such as the integration of the Navigators into the TM1 Reserving Database. Experience & Skills: A minimum of 3 years of actuarial or related experience; experience in reserving is a plus but not required. Consideration will also be given to candidates with strong operational and process management experience. Proficient technical and analytical skills; advanced Excel knowledge is required; familiarity with ResQ, TM1, and SQL is preferred. Self-motivated and proactive with exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment. Attention to detail and accuracy with a strong drive for problem-solving. Excellent teamwork abilities, enabling collaboration with individuals at various organizational levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences. Compensation: The annualized base pay range for this role is $93,120 - $139,680, determined by analyzing similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay may vary based on performance, skills, and the competencies demonstrated in this role. The base pay is only one component of our total compensation package, which may also include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
