Description Join Leidos as a Senior Liquid Rocket Propulsion Expert and become a vital part of a dedicated team of Subject Matter Experts. We are looking for someone with deep knowledge in launch vehicle and missile analyses, satellite technology, and C4ISR. If you have extensive industrial experience in the design, development, testing, and deployment of liquid propulsion systems, we want to hear from you! Primary Responsibilities: Demonstrate expertise in all facets of liquid propellant rocket motors, particularly in military systems. Your experience should cover the development and modeling of liquid rocket engines, turbo pumps, and control systems. A strong understanding of propellant formulations and motor performance modeling is crucial. Have the ability and enthusiasm to teach courses on liquid propellant rocket fundamentals, modeling techniques, and manufacturing processes. Mentor and collaborate with junior engineers, helping to cultivate their skills and knowledge. Basic Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with 13+ years of experience. At least 12 years must be related to liquid rocket propulsion. Must have a Secret security clearance, with eligibility for TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. A valid US passport is required. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with foreign liquid propellant propulsion systems is a plus. Experience with military systems related to propellant technology is beneficial. An advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred. Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is advantageous. 15 to 20 years of experience in the field is highly desirable.
