Cardiac Drips: Amiodarone Cardizem Dobutamine Dopamine Milrinone Nitroglycerin Diuretics: Bumex Lasix Anticoagulants: Aggrastat Argatroban Heparin Other Drips: Insulin drips Minimum Requirements Minimum Experience: 1 year First-time travelers: Not accepted Certifications Required: BLS ACLS Clinical Skills & Work Setting Overflow IMCU Unit Arrhythmia management Cardioversion Cardiac Conditions: CHF, Chest Pain Renal and Pulmonary Conditions: COPD, Pulmonary Edema Vascular/Cardiac Conditions: PE, DVT Cardiac Arrhythmias: Stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia Surgical Cases: Cholecystectomy, Appendectomy, Chest Tubes, Biliary Drains Post-Cardiac Cath patients TR Bands management DKA patients Occasional vascular patients Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow (transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit) Basic arrhythmia knowledge required Exposure to everything under the Med/Surg umbrella Unit Details Beds: 32 Patient Ratio: 1:5 – 1:6 Systems & Work Environment EMR: Epic (Preferred) Medication System: Pyxis Communication Method: SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue Scheduling & Unit Policies Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified otherwise Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Rare; response time is 2 hours Travelers typically do not manage Precedex (handled by core staff) Time Off & Holiday Requirements RTO: Maximum 7 days Holiday Expectations: If 1 major holiday falls during the assignment → traveler is expected to work it If 2 major holidays fall during the assignment → traveler is expected to work both If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment → traveler is expected to work 2 of them Major Holidays Include: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving / Black Friday Christmas Eve / Christmas Day New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day PJ -HC (3180715) About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
