Principal, Strategy and Value Services, Thought Leadership & Advisory Services Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Principal to join our Thought Leadership & Advisory Services organization at Cornerstone. In this role, you will act as a strategic business partner, working collaboratively to make an impact on our clients' success. You will engage with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing teams, as well as directly with our clients. Identify and maximize business opportunities with key prospects and customers, working closely with sales teams to craft winning strategies. Synthesize key business strategies and apply your HCM domain expertise to create alignment and drive results. Develop comprehensive business and talent strategies, including tailored quantitative analyses (ROI, TCO, Benchmarking) that address individual client needs. Guide clients through the entire Value Engagement lifecycle, from initial discovery to delivering validated recommendations. Key Responsibilities Provide advisory support to sales and customer success teams on service offerings and positioning. Dive deep into clients' business and talent strategies, effectively showcasing Cornerstone’s value proposition. Evaluate opportunities to deliver quantitative impact, sharing insights with sales on potential outcomes. Adapt methodologies based on client needs and develop in-depth financial models. Present value and business impact in a compelling narrative that resonates with clients. Analyze market trends and contribute to both tactical and strategic planning on client engagements. Share competitive intelligence gathered in the field to enhance our strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with HR executives and HCM leaders to advocate for our services. Collaborate with the TLAS team to create engaging webinars, client presentations, and publications. Develop and deliver tailored service proposals for implementation and talent strategy offerings. Manage multiple strategy engagements while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude. Continuously learn and innovate to enhance client success and service delivery. Stay energetic and motivated, bringing fresh ideas to the table in a proactive manner. Qualifications B.A. / B.S. required; advanced degree (MS, MA, PhD, MBA) preferred. Proven ability to translate Cornerstone's platform into tangible business results. Experience in leading strategy sessions and engagements with Cornerstone clients. Consultative background with executive-level strategy development (minimum 7 years). Deep expertise in HCM and organizational development (minimum 7 years). Familiarity with Cloud Computing and Software-as-a-Service delivery models (minimum 7 years). Experience with large-scale HCM software deployments. Quantitative and financial modeling expertise linking business impact to client strategies (minimum 5 years). Understanding of sales strategy and deal processes is highly preferred. Excellent client presentation and communication skills adaptable to various audiences. Professional appearance with the ability to present to corporate executives. A proven track record in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple projects effectively. Strong writing, presentation development, and analytical skills are essential. Ability to contextualize and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively. Outstanding service orientation with interpersonal skills that foster collaboration.
