Job Description Summary The Director of IT Vendor Management is a strategic leader overseeing the lifecycle of IT vendors, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Technology goals while optimizing vendor performance and mitigating risks. This vital role partners with IT leaders, procurement, finance, risk, and legal teams to deliver value and innovation throughout the vendor ecosystem. What You Will Do: Strategic Vendor Oversight Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor management strategy for IT services, software, infrastructure, and outsourcing. Create governance frameworks for vendor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding with global risk and sourcing teams. Performance & Relationship Management Lead the development of vendor scorecards and business reviews to ensure compliance with service delivery, SLAs, and KPIs. Collaborate across functions to align governance frameworks with organizational objectives. Build strategic relationships with key vendors to foster innovation and continuous improvement. Act as an escalation point for resolving vendor disputes and issues. Contract & Financial Management Work alongside procurement and legal to negotiate contracts, renewals, and amendments efficiently. Oversee vendor spending, forecasting, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support teams in defining clear expectations and performance objectives for vendors. Risk & Compliance Ensure vendor compliance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for critical vendor relationships. Cross-Functional Partnership and Leadership Collaborate with enterprise functions to ensure global standards are met while representing Enterprise Technology best practices. Align vendor capabilities with technology roadmaps through partnerships with IT service owners and business stakeholders. Lead initiatives related to vendor transformation, including outsourcing and vendor consolidation. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of relevant experience with a minimum of five years in vendor management. In-depth knowledge of vendor management practices and industry trends. Strong oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences. Exceptional project management and prioritization capabilities. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in vendor management, IT sourcing, or technology procurement. Proven ability to manage complex vendor ecosystems in IT environments. Strong contract negotiation, financial acumen, and project management skills. Familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT. Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) principles is a plus. Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic outcomes in fast-paced settings. Knowledge of accounting functions related to operations is advantageous. Working Conditions Hybrid Office Environment Moderate Travel (10% to 25%) Compensation: The salary for this position generally ranges between $156,000 - $178,000 annually. Actual starting pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and operational needs. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual performance. Work Location: This is a hybrid position that requires three days in the office per week in one of our hub locations (Cedar Rapids or Denver). Relocation assistance is not provided.
