The nurse develops and implements individualized care plans, monitors patient status throughout the procedure, and documents all care provided. The RN also leads and coordinates activities within the OR while maintaining effective communication with the patient, family, surgical team, and other departments. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care (40%) – Assess surgical patients, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient safety during procedures, and make necessary adjustments. OR Coordination (30%) – Supervise activities in the operating room, prepare equipment and supplies, assist anesthesia when needed, and maintain the sterile field. Communication (20%) – Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, supervisors, and ancillary departments. Staff Development (10%) – Participate in training, educational meetings, and professional development opportunities to support leadership and growth.
