Unit Clerk

We are currently looking for a Full Time Unit Clerktojoin our enthusiastic team at Paul's Run. Paul's Run Retirement Community in Northeast Philadelphia has a reputation as one of the BEST senior health care providers. Shift / Schedule available: Full Time 8:00am - 4:30 pm Key job responsibilities include: Review resident records to ensure all forms are complete. Prepare charts for new admissions, ensure that room is detailed and ready for admission. Prepare new admission charts for after-hours admissions. Keep file drawers stocked with all medical and nursing forms needed for residents' records. Maintain par levels of required forms and stock no less than once per week and more often if necessary. Thin active records monthly according to regulations. Retrieve MAR/TAR at time of discharge to include within discharge record and forward to Medical Records Department. Review charts to ensure compliance with physician monthly progress notes, and order signing of recaps. Complete all filing daily. Transport residents to internal appointments and activities as needed. Set up CNA flow books concurrently. Maintain knowledge of Charge Tracker functions to include reporting systems. Provide weekly reports to nursing administration including but not limited to ancillary services. Maintenance of accurate resident data in Charge Tracker including but not limited to the event scheduler and bed holds. Audit medical records for completion prior to closing record; report holes/errors and incomplete documentation to Charge Nurse/Supervisor prior to closing record. Education and Experience: High School Graduate or GED equivalent. Current C.N.A. in the state of Pennsylvania required. Associate degree or undergraduate degree in medical records or related field a plus. Proficiency in medical terminology and experience preferred in unit clerk responsibilities.
