About the Role As a Commercial Application Engineer, you will play a critical role at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Product, and other cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into competitive, technically sound proposals that drive business growth. Your work directly impacts project success and long-term customer partnerships across global energy and industrial markets. Position Highlights: Remote Opportunity Pay Rate: $61.38/hour 1st Shift Schedule (8am-5pm, 8:30am-5:30pm, or 9am-6pm) This role is remote with occasional travel (up to 30%) to visit customers, participate in meetings, and support opportunity development. What You'll Do In this dynamic, high-visibility role, you will: Review and influence customer specifications, drawings, RFPs, and RFQs; develop Tables of Compliance (TOCs) Serve as the central focal point for technical and commercial aspects of assigned deals Lead quoting efforts for core and complex control system offerings Use engineering tools, models, configuration libraries, and design standards to create tailored solutions Ensure accurate cost estimates and identify technical, execution, and commercial risks within the ITO process Coordinate with supply chain and third-party vendors for extended project scope quotations Work with Sales and Pricing teams to build competitive deal strategies Consolidate financials and present proposals for internal approval Oversee tender schedules, approval cycles, and bid submissions Drive generation of complete, customer-aligned proposals Participate in negotiation meetings and customer presentations Support project handover from ITO to execution teams Engage in technical and commercial training programs Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, templates, guides, and best practices Consistently meet or exceed commercial KPIs Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Power preferred) 5+ years experience in application engineering, design engineering, or field commissioning Strong background in Industrial Control Systems Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with PC technologies Ability to travel up to 30% • Preferred Qualifications Commercial and contractual expertise Experience with Unit Control (GT/ST, Aero, Hydro, Nuclear), DCS, HMI, Excitation Systems, Cyber products 5+ years in field service or application engineering Experience writing technical proposals and specifications Strong creative problem-solving abilities High energy, drive, and passion for innovation Why Join Us?
