Are you ready to lead the financial operations of a leading engineering and manufacturing company that builds custom high-vacuum systems for the aerospace and advanced technology market?Dynavac, located in Hingham MA, is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting activities, lead a strong finance team, and support strategic decision-making within a dynamic, project-driven environment. Salary range: $120,000-$140,000, based on experience. Dynavac is a subsidiary of Weiss Technik North America (WNA). This role reports to the WNA Director of Finance and works closely with the Dynavac CFO to lead the finance team and act as a business partner to Dynavac's VP/General Manager. The Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing all facets of our accounting operations, including cost accounting, budgets, monthly close cycle, financial reporting, internal controls and accounting policy development.. Essential Job Functions / Key ResponsibilitiesFinance and Accounting LeadershipManage all accounting operations including Payroll, AR, AP and GL, Cost and inventory accounting and revenue recognition. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Review, establish and implement consistent and accurate product costing methodologies and reporting throughout manufacturing operations. Perform audits of bills of materials to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly. Ensure costs and bills of materials accurately reflect production operations. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and actual expenditures. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the company's financial status. Prepare rolling forecast and 13-week cash flow. Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate. Support the CFO in engaging with Weiss Technik North America (WNA) and Holding management around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery. Preparation of work papers supporting the annual tax return and coordinate the preparation of annual tax return with outside CPA firm. Coordinate yearend audit activity with outside accountants. Maintain perpetual inventory system and ensure accuracy of physical inventory. Team Leadership Leverage strengths of the current finance team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training programs in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals. Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment. Experience & Education We prefer that you have earned at least one of the following: BS in Accounting, MBA in Finance/Accounting, CPA, or CMA. 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on cost accounting and variance analysis. Five plus years in an environment that required monthly reporting to a Corporate entity using a system like OneSIS, Hyperion, or OneStream. Other Requirements Demonstrated leadership as part of a cross-functional plant management team. Proven ability to manage and develop staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound planning and organizational skills. High-level proficiency in ERP/MRP systems. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $120,000-$140,000, based on experience.
