Job Summary The EHS Program Manager plays a crucial role in shaping and overseeing environmental, health, and safety initiatives to ensure adherence to all regulatory standards as well as company policies. This position champions a proactive safety culture, reduces environmental risks, and fosters a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors. The EHS Program Manager collaborates closely with leadership and team members to enhance safety performance and promote environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and uphold EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local/state laws. Drive workplace safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and implement hazard mitigation plans. Cultivate a safety-first culture through comprehensive training, effective communication, and active employee engagement. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations, while leading root cause analyses and corrective action plans. Manage environmental compliance initiatives encompassing waste management, air emissions, water discharge, and chemical handling. Ensure accurate maintenance of EHS documentation, necessary permits, and compliance reporting. Monitor and analyze safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses) and environmental key performance indicators. Act as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies and inspections. Support ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and occupational health programs. Work in collaboration with Operations and Engineering on new equipment, process modifications, and facility expansions. Lead emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities. Oversee EHS budgets and coordinate with external vendors and consultants. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience within industrial or manufacturing settings. In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations. Proficient in delivering safety training and managing investigations. Demonstrated ability to foster a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM. Experience in heavy manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or related fields. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems. Experience managing EHS for multiple sites.
