The Reporting and Monetization team develops backend systems that convert every Coinbase Prime event into reliable, audit-ready records, facilitating client reporting, billing, tax outputs, and statements for major institutional crypto clients. These high-volume event-driven pipelines and scalable services are essential for the entire institutional platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will spearhead technical initiatives that directly influence Coinbase’s revenue and foster trust with our most valued customers. Your Responsibilities Include: Designing and implementing new financing products and features. Creating and building new reporting tools, monitoring systems, frameworks, and APIs. Proposing a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems. Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap each quarter. Writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code to fulfill customer needs. What We Are Looking For: A minimum of 2+ years of experience in software engineering. Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, with knowledge of service-oriented architecture. Strong coding skills with a focus on quality and testing to satisfy customer requirements. A genuine passion for building an open financial system that connects the world. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Experience in decomposing large monoliths into microservices. Familiarity with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift. Experience building financial, high-reliability, or security systems. Total compensation may also include equity, bonuses, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
