Title: Surgical Tech First Assist (STFA) Location:Phoenixville, PA Job Type: Full-Time Employment (FTE) Job Description:Overview: Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Surgical Tech First Assist (STFA) collaborates with the surgeon and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role involves providing professional and ethical care to all patients in accordance with the Pennsylvania Surgical Practice Acts. Responsibilities: Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and smooth workflow while adhering to strict aseptic technique. Take responsibility for the peri-operative care of surgical patients by proficiently planning, implementing, and evaluating the preparation of surgical cases. Perform additional duties as assigned, including picking cases and stocking rooms. Work Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with on-call responsibilities from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Staff rotate call monthly, with an average of one weeknight per week and one weekend every 5-6 weekends. Qualifications:Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of surgical Technology. Experience: Previous STFA experience is required. Certification and Licensure: BLS certification is required. PA Surgical Tech license is required.
