Lead Data Conversion Specialist for SAP S/4HANA

cBEYONData + SMX is actively seeking a skilled Lead Data Conversion Specialist for SAP S/4HANA to contribute to a significant federal S/4HANA transformation project. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the entire data conversion strategy and execution, ensuring a precise and auditable transition of legacy data into S/4HANA. Your expertise will guide the planning, data quality assessments, validation, and cutover activities crucial for testing and achieving go-live readiness. Key Responsibilities: Lead the data conversion strategy and execution journey from initial mock conversions through to final production cutover. Define and manage a comprehensive data conversion plan that aligns seamlessly with testing cycles, deployment phases, and cutover milestones. Collaborate closely with functional leads (FI, CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, etc.) to ensure accountability and ownership for data objects and governing rules. Oversee the utilization of data conversion tools such as the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, ETL tools, and custom migration frameworks. Establish and govern data mappings, transformation logic, and business rules pertaining to both master and transactional data. Set and enforce data quality standards to uphold completeness, accuracy, and consistency throughout the conversion process. Lead efforts in data validation and reconciliation to confirm that converted data corresponds accurately with legacy systems. Coordinate business reviews and secure formal approval for converted data sets. Plan and execute cutover activities including mock cutovers, load sequencing, and ensuring readiness for go-live. Identify, mitigate, and address any data-related risks and dependencies that may affect program timelines. Maintain meticulous documentation including data conversion deliverables such as plans, mappings, validation reports, and cutover runbooks. Required Skills & Experience: Must possess an active Secret level security clearance. Over 10 years of SAP experience with leadership in data conversion initiatives. Demonstrated success in overseeing at least one complete lifecycle of SAP S/4HANA data conversion. Thorough understanding of SAP data structures in Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics. Hands-on experience with the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit along with ETL/integration tools. Expertise in data mapping, transformation logic, and defining business rules. Experience in managing data quality, reconciliation, and validations that meet audit standards. Proven track record in leading ERP cutover planning and execution. Strong skills in stakeholder management, documentation, and governance. Preferred: Experience with large multi-entity S/4HANA projects, SAP Activate methodology, regulatory or federal project experience, and backgrounds in ECC to S/4HANA conversion.
