In the capacity of Lead Cloud Engineering Expert at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), you'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and delivering innovative cloud solutions tailored for some of Oracle's most important and strategic clients. Your deep technical knowledge will enable you to architect, build, and maintain cloud-native environments using Kubernetes, container orchestration, microservices, event-driven architectures, and streaming technologies. Your hands-on experience will ensure our customers enjoy secure, scalable, and resilient deployments on OCI. Key Responsibilities: Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging OCI and leading open-source tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Containers. Design and develop event-driven and distributed systems using OCI services like Oracle Streaming, Functions, and API Gateway. Automate the deployment and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Engage with customers throughout pre-sales, onboarding, and production stages to troubleshoot, optimize, and promote the adoption of OCI's cloud-native capabilities. Serve as a technical advisor to champion best practices regarding security, scalability, and high availability within cloud-native architectures. Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to provide insights, influence product roadmaps, and create technical documentation including whitepapers and solution briefs. Mentor junior engineers and foster a supportive, learning-oriented environment. Key Qualifications: 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or architecture roles, with an emphasis on cloud-native technologies. Strong expertise in Kubernetes (CKS, EKS, GKE, or ideally OCI OKE), Docker, and related cloud-native tools (like Istio, Envoy, Helm, Prometheus, Fluentd). Extensive understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven/messaging patterns (Kafka, streaming, serverless). Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Bash/Shell, Go, etc.). Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (including Terraform, Ansible). Solid knowledge of core networking, container security, and IAM concepts in public cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting of distributed systems. Exceptional customer-facing skills in a technical advisory, pre-sales, or consulting capacity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; pertinent certifications are a plus. Bonus Skills: Broad understanding of emerging trends and best practices in cloud-native architecture. Experience with compliance, security, and governance frameworks in enterprise environments. Insight into industry-specific requirements and use cases for cloud-native solutions. Active engagement in the cloud-native community through publications or presentations. Compensation and Benefits: US: Hiring range in USD from: $100,900 to $165,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity, and commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30.
