Leidos' Defense Systems - Colorado Manufacturing Facility is on the lookout for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that machined components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards in line with drawings, specifications, and procedures. Your work will directly influence the performance and reliability of mission-critical hypersonic defense systems. This dynamic environment requires keen attention to detail, self-direction, and strong teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Inspect machined components and assemblies for quality assurance. Document and identify nonconformance; support root cause analysis investigations. Read, interpret, and understand technical documents (drawings, specifications, test procedures, etc.) Create and compile acceptance data packages for customer approval of build assets. Prepare and maintain AS9102 reports, inspection records, quality documentation, and discrepancy reports. Utilize standard inspection and measuring equipment, including CMMs and GOM Scanning Equipment, adhering to tight tolerances using GD&T and embedded model dimensioning. Contribute to corrective actions, documentation control, calibration, and receiving inspection support. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma/GED. 3-5 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience in an Aerospace machine shop. Knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency in using measuring equipment typical to manufacturing, such as micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, radius gauges, and calipers. Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment. Able to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports. Practical computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office software. Ability to work full-time with minimal supervision and adapt priorities based on workflow. Willingness to travel to customer sites for quality inspections when necessary. Physical capability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Must be a resident of the Colorado Springs area or willing to relocate to the Colorado Springs - Monument - Pueblo, CO area. Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Experience inspecting complex aerospace hardware and supporting Material Review Board (MRB) processes. Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection and Acceptance Data Pack review/creation. Understanding of AS5553 counterfeit prevention practices. Experience managing non-conforming materials and processing NCRs. Physical capability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. If you seek a challenging yet rewarding career, look no further. Pay Range: $50,700.00 - $91,650.00 Please note that this pay range is a guideline only and may vary based on multiple factors, including job responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
