Company: enGen Job Description: JOB SUMMARY Join our dynamic integration engineering team at enGen, where you will play a critical role in developing sophisticated and scalable HR and Payroll application integrations. This position necessitates a comprehensive understanding of enterprise architecture to ensure seamless integration functionality across various platforms. You will engage in the full integration process, from brainstorming and business analysis to technical design and development, leveraging Workday’s proprietary tools and cutting-edge technologies. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs. Write high-quality, standards-compliant code and conduct thorough code reviews. Drive idea generation and implement effective technical solutions to meet product feature requirements while ensuring functionality, scalability, and performance. Actively participate in an agile team, attending all scrum ceremonies, assisting with sprint planning, and delivering software applications through all development stages. Report issues and blockers to the Scrum Master promptly. Facilitate story creation, define acceptance criteria, and estimate tasks within tools such as RTC or Jira, while keeping tasks updated and organized. Track progress against the production schedule, providing regular updates and reporting any technical issues to senior developers. Mentor fellow software engineers to foster growth and enhance technical skills. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. EDUCATION Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Preferred Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. EXPERIENCE Required Minimum of 3 years of expertise in designing and analyzing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems. At least 3 years of experience in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, along with familiarity with at least two of the following: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services. Minimum of 3 years of knowledge in web services technologies like REST, HTTPS, and JSON. Preferred 3+ Years with the following Workday Skills: Workday Orchestration for Integrations Workday Extend certification Workday Studio: Proficient in developing and deploying Workday Studio integrations. Workday Integration Tools: Experienced with other Workday integration tools such as EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services. Workday Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of Workday HCM and Payroll functionalities. XSLT: Knowledge of XSLT for data transformations in Workday Studio. Web Services (SOAP, REST): Familiarity with web service protocols for external system integrations, including experience with JSON and Postman. Security: Knowledge of Workday security concepts for secure integration implementations. General Integration Skills: API Management: Understanding of API design, development, and management. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for integration challenges. Communication: Excellent skills for collaboration with stakeholders and documenting integration approaches. Nice to Have: Informatica PowerCenter: Proficient in using Informatica PowerCenter for data integration and ETL processes. Dell Boomi: Experience with Boomi for building and troubleshooting integrations. Groovy Scripting, Java Programming Experience with DB2 LICENSES or CERTIFICATIONS Required None Preferred None SKILLS Ability to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Experience working within agile methodologies, especially scrum. Willingness to learn new programming languages as necessary. Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control management, and operational processes. Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive in meeting objectives. Passion for enhancing user experience and usability. Willingness to mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
