Job Summary The Resiliency Specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Risk Management (RM), Business Continuity (BC), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Crisis Management (CM). This role is focused on creating and maintaining BCM components that align with the Company’s ISO-driven policies and standards, including planning and executing strategies needed for recovery during a disaster or business interruption. Collaboration with IT and business partners across all levels of the organization will be crucial to ensuring operational resilience through proactive planning, drills, and real-time incident response. Additionally, the Resiliency Specialist will foster a company culture that aligns with SHI's values, policies, and procedures. Reporting to the Resiliency Manager, the Specialist will also assist in enhancing the Risk and Resiliency Program, as well as lead any necessary process improvement initiatives. The role is based in the SHI office located in Somerset, NJ; Austin, TX; or Dallas, TX, as determined by management. Role Description Support the development, communication, and training of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. Align BCM activities with current standards, policies, and regulations. Implement and oversee BCM programs emphasizing risk mitigation and effective controls. Develop and present BCM reports, metrics, and data visualizations for stakeholders. Serve as a BCM subject matter expert and liaise with various business partners. Collaborate in creating, updating, and testing BC/DR/CM plans; perform business impact analyses. Assist in crisis management planning and incident response efforts. Review and maintain internal BCM documentation and standards. Support audits, assessments, governance reviews, and tool administration. Train users to ensure quality data within BCM systems. Facilitate readiness initiatives for business disruptions and deliver timely, accurate outputs. Detail-Oriented: Detect errors or inconsistencies and make necessary corrections. Skill Level Requirements Communication: Simplify complex issues for diverse stakeholders - Basic. Technical Understanding: Read and interpret technical documentation - Basic. Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with diagramming tools like Visio, LucidChart, and Asana - Basic. Other Requirements Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience is required. 3+ years of experience in Business Continuity (BC), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Crisis Management (CM) within a formal BCM program in a medium to large enterprise. Strong familiarity with risk management and business continuity standards, including governance frameworks such as ISO 31000, ISO/EIC 27001, and ISO 22301. Experience in developing disaster recovery plans (DPRs), creating run-books, and coordinating comprehensive DR exercises. Solid understanding of network infrastructure, server environments, and typical application ecosystems in modern data centers. Practical experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms, BC/DR planning tools, and emergency notification systems; familiarity with ServiceNow and OnSolve is a plus. Willingness to travel up to 25% for engaging with business units and conducting vendor assessments. Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, responding on short notice during incident management or special projects. The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000, including a base salary. Compensation is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, and will vary individually.
