Requisition ID: 43960BR Business Unit: FSU About Us: CDM Smith is expanding our dynamic marketing team within the Federal Services Unit and is seeking a dedicated Senior Proposal Specialist with a proven track record in proposal development, specifically in environmental remediation, civil works, and water resilience contracts. Position Overview: As a Senior Proposal Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving business development for multimillion-dollar U.S. government opportunities, collaborating with a diverse team of technical, management, and marketing professionals both nationwide and internationally. Key Responsibilities: Research federal contract opportunities, competitors, and potential teaming partners to align strategies effectively. Thoroughly review and analyze solicitation documents including FedBizOpps synopses and requests for proposals. Implement a theme-based approach in crafting compelling proposal narratives and presentations. Write, edit, and proofread complex proposal content and marketing materials to ensure clarity and impact. Coordinate teams comprising management, technical, financial, graphic design, and production staff to deliver high-quality proposals. Travel occasionally to various locations across the nation to support meetings and proposal efforts. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree. At least 6 years of related experience. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required. Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in developing proposals for environmental remediation, civil works, and/or water resilience contracts is strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated experience with U.S. federal government proposals. Familiarity with business development methodologies such as Miller Heiman or Shipley. Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate with geographically dispersed teams. Strong editing and proofreading abilities, particularly concerning technical narratives. Proven capacity to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous. Preference for candidates located near a major CDM Smith office.
