You will be instrumental in achieving departmental goals and contributing to the hospital's overall success.Every day you will manage the daily operations of your assigned department, including staffing, budgeting, quality control, and process improvement initiatives. You will be expected to mentor and develop your team, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, collaborate with other departments, and implement strategies that enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and operational efficiency.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong leadership and organizational skills, a comprehensive understanding of hospital operations relevant to your department, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and proven experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting. Coordinates work of licensed and unlicensed personnel in unit(s). Develops a cost-effective, 24-hour staffing pattern within the unit(s) to meet needs of patients and labor budget. Participates within the Department of Nursing Services in establishing the standards of patient care, policies, and objectives of unit(s); communicates such standards, policies, and objectives to unit(s) staff, patients, family, and community. Hires, trains, develops, evaluates, and disciplines staff members. Ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies such as TJC, Health Departments and OSHA. Creates a work environment that fosters safety, communication, and positive work environment.
