About the Opportunity:• Job Title: Welder• Pay Rate Range: $28.00-$31.00/hr• Location: Saint Paul, MN• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6AM-3:30PM• Position Type: Temp to HireRequirements and Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent.• Experience: 5 years of professional welding experience preferred (will consider recent trade school graduates with a strong weld test).• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures).• Reliability: Strong attendance record and a "team-first"attitude.• MIG and TIG welding on Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.• Lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.• Postures: Frequent standing, bending, crouching, and reaching in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.• Dexterity: High level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision bead placement.Duties and Responsibilities:• Fabrication: Perform high-quality welds (MIG/TIG/Stick) on [Material: e.g., Carbon Steel/Aluminum] based on technical drawings and blueprints.• Preparation: Grind, de-burr, and clean surfaces to be welded; clamp and jig components for precision alignment.• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of finished welds to ensure they meet structural and aesthetic standards.• Equipment Care: Perform basic maintenance on welding lead, liners, and tips; report any equipment malfunctions immediately.• Safety: Adhere to all OSHA and internal safety guidelines, including the consistent use of PPE (welding hood, gloves, and steel-toed boots).Discover Award Staffing: At Award Staffing, we believe that work should be more than just a paycheck-it should inspire, empower, and create a sense of purpose.
