Grounds Maintenance - Seasonal

Position Summary The Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker assists with maintaining school grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and well-kept outdoor environment. Duties include lawn care, weed control, pesticide/herbicide application, and basic landscaping. Primary Responsibilities Mow and trim grass using commercial lawn equipment. Perform weed removal and apply approved herbicides/pesticides as directed. Assist with basic landscaping including planting, mulching, edging, and maintaining flower beds. Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and sprayers. Pick up debris and help maintain clean and safe outdoor areas. Follow safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience with lawn care or landscaping preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors and perform physical labor. Valid driver's license preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods.
