Job Description

Description The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and the No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking an energetic and collegial Abdominal Imaging Radiologist. The ideal candidate will be an expert in CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and MRI. Experience with image-guided interventional procedures is also desirable. Division faculty provide services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and their affiliated outpatient clinics. Faculty work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest radiology training programs in the U.S. Abdominal Imaging Division, Facilities & Equipment: • Growing Abdominal Imaging practice with 22 faculty members • ACGME-accredited Abdominal Radiology fellowship program with three annual fellowship positions • Central reading rooms at Parkland Hospital and Clements University Hospital and associated outpatient clinics • Freestanding reading stations located throughout the hospital systems • Remote conferencing capabilities to allow participation in virtual resident read-out sessions, lectures, and multidisciplinary conferences • Nineteen clinical MRI magnets, 22 CT scanners (including dual-energy CT systems from two different vendors), 54 ultrasound units, and mixed-use clinical and research machines • PET/MR scheduled to be operational in 2022 Research Collaboration: • Opportunities to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong radiology and non-radiology based basic science and clinical teams across the campus • Current and future research opportunities involving both inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the solid organs, soft tissues and bowel.
