As Payroll Manager, you'll oversee the full payroll lifecycle and serve as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership. Key responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees across multiple payroll frequencies Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws and tax requirements Maintaining accurate, confidential payroll records and ensuring data integrity Preparing payroll reports and providing insights on payroll trends and metrics for leadership and auditors Serving as the primary point of contact for payroll questions, discrepancies, and issue resolution Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance Collaborating closely with HR and Finance on compensation changes, benefits, and financial reporting Leading, mentoring, and developing payroll team members Working Conditions This job is an onsite position that operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, printers and office telephone systems. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is sitting 90% of the workday. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary Required Education and Experience 3-5 years of experience in payroll or a related role in a fast-paced environment Hands-on experience processing hourly, salaried, and commission-based payrolls Experience managing multiple payroll schedules Strong working knowledge of payroll laws, compliance, and reporting requirements Proficiency with payroll systems (such as ADP, Paychex, SAP) and Microsoft Excel Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and reconciliation abilities Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset Demonstrated leadership and process improvement experience Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Advanced Excel skills (functions, data analysis, pivot tables) Experience with Paycom HRIS Payroll experience supporting commissioned employees
