Job Summary: A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a licensed Stationary Engineer to support utility operations at its Chicago facility. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliable, safe, and efficient performance of essential plant systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with industrial utilities, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a safety-first mindset. Job Duties: Operate, monitor, and maintain plant utility equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, and related systems Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical or system issues efficiently Maintain detailed records of system performance, maintenance activities, and inspections Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with maintenance and production personnel to support operational needs Respond promptly to utility-related emergencies to minimize operational disruptions Qualifications: Active Chicago Stationary Engineer License Prior experience supporting boilers and plant utility systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work a rotating shift schedule Experience in a union setting is a plus Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and operational reliability Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
