About the Role San Miguel Power Association Inc. (SMPA) is a member-owned electric cooperative serving the communities of Southwest Colorado. We're looking for a dependable, people-oriented professional to join our team in Ridgway as a Member Services Representative - the first point of contact for our members and a key part of how we deliver on our mission every day. What You'll Do In this role, you'll work directly with SMPA members to answer questions, process account changes, resolve service issues, and ensure a positive experience at every interaction. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Responding to member inquiries by phone, in person, and in writing Processing account updates and service requests accurately Collaborating with internal departments to resolve member concerns Listening to member feedback and helping identify ways to improve service What We're Looking For We value people who bring both professionalism and genuine care to member interactions. Strong candidates will have: Prior customer service or public-facing experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Solid computer skills and comfort with data entry and account management software Basic math proficiency and attention to detail The ability to multitask in a busy environment while staying organized A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with minimal supervision Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
