As the Technical Estimator, your responsibilities will include: Prepare estimates by utilizing blueprints, specifications, and related documentsDetermine accuracy and completeness of information providedMaintain information in a structured and organized mannerIdentify labor, material, and time requirementsPresent prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive informationMaintain accurate estimating tools and update as neededMaintain cost database by entering and backing up dataContinually update technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publicationsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed for meeting and/or exceeding goals and strategies What are we looking for in a quality candidate? Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and word processing programsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specificationsAbility to coordinate and work independentlyKnowledge of CAD software and/or other engineering softwareExperience with Zuken or similar electrical design software preferredAbility to meet critical timelines for responsesAbility to communicate professionally and technically with Client ContactsHigh School Diploma or general education degree (GED)Associate's (A.A.) Degree or two-year college or technical school2+ years of related experience ORAny combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be acceptable.Many tasks include their own work and/or the review of work of others in the department.
