Overview We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated Technical Documentation and Program Support Expert to contribute to various enterprise technology projects. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, testing, and organization of both technical and business documentation, collaborating closely with clients, developers, and stakeholders in an Agile environment. The perfect candidate for this role will be well-organized, adept at navigating technical and business discussions, and possess a solid background in documentation standards, testing, accessibility compliance, and Agile project support. This is a fully remote position within the United States. Responsibilities Technical Documentation Produce, review, and maintain technical documentation for Microsoft Power Platform applications, including: User Guides Development Guides Maintenance Guides Training materials Collaborate with clients to convert information into preferred documentation formats and standards. Engage with development teams to gather, validate, and document technical details accurately. Update the BITS Technical Handbook and related documentation by: Removing outdated content Integrating new and modified information Linking to related documents Proof and update developer documentation, including: Workflow documentation Data mappings Program Support Review and refine business rules documentation working in tandem with clients and developers. Conduct application tests, documenting findings, feedback, and recommendations. Organize, manage, and maintain all documentation within SharePoint. Schedule, attend, and record stakeholder meetings as necessary. Assist in proofreading presentations and documentation before client review. Facilitate daily Scrum meetings as required and update Jira boards accordingly. Coordinate meetings, updating business requirements and rules for dashboards/reports managed by clients. Collect stakeholder inquiries and responses, integrating updates into business requirements documentation. Perform Section 508 accessibility testing on DAPM Analytics Hub reports. Partner with Power BI developers to address accessibility issues as necessary. Quarterly update employee rosters to ensure accurate contact and project information. Support Power BI developers by maintaining and updating performance metrics gap analyses in collaboration with SMEs. Create and manage an inventory of SSIS packages in coordination with database and ETL developers. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree with 0 - 2 years of experience (or equivalent experience) Experience in creating and maintaining technical and business documentation Strong proofreading, editing, and organizational capabilities Familiarity with Agile/Scrum teams Experience with Jira and SharePoint A proven ability to effectively collaborate with clients, developers, and stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with application testing and documenting results Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Skills and Experience Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI) Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and testing Experience in documenting business rules, workflows, and data mappings Understanding of SQL, SSIS, or ETL concepts (documentation-level understanding) Prior experience supporting federal, state, or enterprise IT programs Key Competencies Exceptional attention to detail Strong analytical and documentation skills Able to manage multiple priorities in a remote work setting Capable of working independently while collaborating with teams Proactive, organized, and focused on process improvements Company Overview GovCIO is a team of transformers—individuals passionate about transforming government IT. However, the base pay offered may vary based on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also encompass additional elements, which will be discussed during the hiring process. If employed, you will be in an "at-will position," and GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary and other discretionary payments at any time for reasons related to individual performance, department/team performance, and market factors.
