About the Job Concrete Project Supervisor Summary Description: A Concrete Project Supervisor is crucial for the success of concrete construction projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and supervising all concrete operations on-site, ensuring that quality standards are met, schedules are adhered to, and budgets are maintained. The Supervisor collaborates closely with General Contractors to ensure optimal project sequencing that benefits the company and the overall job outcome. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate concrete schedules and operations with Operations Managers. Maintain daily communication and coordination with the Project Management team for effective project execution. Supervise on-site concrete construction processes, ensuring adherence to plans and specifications. Monitor budget compliance relating to manpower and material expenditures. Organize and schedule field labor, ensuring adequate performance standards are met. Work harmoniously with other subcontractors through effective planning and coordination. Ensure quality assurance throughout the concrete construction process while maintaining budget adherence. Track and report project progress regularly, both daily and weekly. Accurately capture and report time for field personnel under supervision. Continuously assess productivity, identify challenges, and propose solutions to mitigate delays. Desired Competencies and Behaviors: Extensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, including footings, walls, flatwork, tilt-up, and paving. Understanding of scheduling concrete activities in relation to other trades. Commitment to safety and implementation of the company’s safety culture. Basic proficiency in Spanish to effectively communicate with field labor as necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and effectively negotiating. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial concrete construction on projects exceeding $2 million, with a preference for Tilt-up Construction experience. Proven experience in a supervisory role as a Concrete Superintendent is essential. Able to effectively manage construction teams while achieving budgetary and scheduling goals. Maintain positive working relations with all construction stakeholders, including management, owners, trades, and subcontractors. Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills. Solid understanding of safety practices and the company's Safety First philosophy. Above-average competency in technology and construction-related resources. A dedicated work ethic with a readiness to travel or relocate as required. Typical work involves exposure to various environmental conditions and moderate to loud noise levels. A motivated, hardworking team player is essential.
