As the Director of Global Payment Solutions, you will spearhead the strategic innovation and daily operations of our global payments ecosystem. In a fast-paced Product-Led Growth (PLG) model, the payment experience is crucial for customer acquisition, expansion, and retention. You will oversee the infrastructure and vendor relationships that support our extensive B2C user base while ensuring seamless payment flows for our enterprise clients. Your mission is to transform our payment function from a purely operational focus to one that is performance-optimized. Your success will be evaluated based on your ability to maximize global authorization rates, implement localized payment methods effectively, and reduce involuntary churn through sophisticated, data-driven payment strategies. Responsibilities: Global Payment Optimization: Develop and execute a roadmap aimed at enhancing global payment performance, with a strong focus on localization to ensure Lucid offers the most effective payment methods for each market. APM & Localization Strategy: Lead the assessment and integration of Alternative Payment Methods (APMs) to boost conversion rates in international markets favoring local payment options over traditional credit cards. Authorization Rate Performance: Own and manage the payment funnel's health. Continuously monitor and enhance authorization success rates by analyzing processor performance, card types, and regional failure codes. Involuntary Churn Mitigation: Enhance revenue retention through optimization of dunning logic, retry strategies, and modern payment tools to rescue failing subscriptions. PLG & B2C Excellence: Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Product teams to ensure a seamless self-service checkout experience, eliminating payment barriers throughout the customer journey. B2B & Enterprise Support: Partner with Finance and Sales to refine our payment systems for complex B2B transactions and facilitate the transition of individual PLG users to enterprise-level contracts. Fraud & Risk Strategy: Design a robust risk management framework that minimizes chargebacks and fraudulent activities while ensuring genuine transactions are processed smoothly. Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for all global payment processors and FinTech partners.
