Thoroughly analyze project specifications, drawings, and scope for comprehensive bid preparation. Conduct detailed material and labor cost estimates through accurate take-offs. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure project execution aligns with estimates. Utilize historical cost data and supplier pricing to refine the accuracy of future estimates. Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to validate project conditions. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients for competitive pricing. Mentor junior estimators by providing technical guidance and support. Explore value engineering opportunities to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and contract provisions in all estimates. Qualifications: 7+ years of electrical estimating experience within an electrical contracting environment. Expertise in estimating for commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects. Proficient with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Conest. Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and cost management. Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
