Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 15 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:MRI Tech - MRI Tech Job Details:• Work day shifts with schedule of 2x12s/1-2x8s Monday through Friday, every other Saturday• Perform technical MRI assignments using complex skill, judgment and knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles• Operate MRI equipment, coils and other related equipment with accuracy• Evaluate image quality and demonstrate accuracy of MRI positioning and coil selection• Provide care to infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients• Utilize RIS system to enter and edit patient demographics and charges• Demonstrate competency with PACS for image processing, image review, and protocol selection• Ensure proper magnet safety for self, patients and personnel using proper screening techniques• Administer contrast media and recognize emergency situations related to contrast reactions• Perform infection control according to Universal Precautions• Maintain mandatory 12 CEC hours per year in Radiologic Technology• Required: NYS license, certification as radiologic, nuclear medicine or ultrasound technologist• Required: BLS certification through AHA or RQI• Required: A.A.S. degree in Radiologic Technology from AMA approved 2-year program• Required: Previous experience in diagnostic radiology• Preferred: 1-2 years experience in related radiology fields with MRI experience• Preferred: Formal MRI-specific training Facility:This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive medical center providing advanced diagnostic imaging services to the community.
