We are seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician for an exciting opportunity in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing medical care within a medical infirmary setting, managing both routine and acute patient needs while working alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Position Overview The Primary Care Physician will provide medical care to patients within the medical infirmary, addressing ongoing health needs as well as acute medical issues. The physician will manage a small inpatient census and perform basic medical procedures when required. Schedule Monday: 12:00 PM 8:00 PM Tuesday Friday: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Structured weekday schedule designed to maintain consistent patient care coverage. Key Responsibilities Provide primary care services to infirmary patients Manage acute medical issues and ongoing conditions Conduct patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning Perform basic medical procedures when necessary Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Maintain accurate medical documentation within the EMR system Ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols Patient Care & Procedures Average infirmary census: patients Most patients require routine monitoring and periodic follow-ups Provide treatment for acute patient issues when needed Basic procedural skills required: • Suturing • Splinting • Incision and drainage Qualifications Board Eligible or Board Certified Physician Active Pennsylvania Medical License required Experience in primary care or internal medicine settings preferred Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Required Certifications BLS Certification required ACLS Certification preferred Technology Electronic Medical Record: TechCare Credentialing Timeline Credentialing typically takes approximately days after submission of a completed application.
