Job Title: Welder Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Welder who can successfully pass a Weld Test and meet all requirements. The ideal candidate will be adept at operating overhead cranes safely, adjusting weld configurations as needed, and using hand tools, torches, or welding equipment to heat and form metal parts and components. You will need to weld in various positions, including flat, vertical, or overhead, and operate and read measuring devices accurately. Additionally, you will assemble and weld different metal parts together, ensure proper positioning of materials to be welded, and be able to train and work in various production areas as required. The ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including reading blueprints, is essential, along with maintaining attention to detail and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.Responsibilities Pass a Weld Test and meet all requirements. Operate overhead cranes safely. Adjust weld configurations as needed. Heat and form metal parts and components using hand tools, torch, or welding equipment. Weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Accurately operate and read measuring devices. Assemble and weld various metal parts together. Properly position material/parts to be welded. Train and work in various production areas in response to production demands. Follow verbal and written work instructions, including reading blueprints. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Essential Skills MIG, TIG, or stick welding skills. 6+ months of welding experience through education or work. Ability to read blueprints. Experience with production welding and fabrication. Ability to use grinding tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Welding certificate through an educational institution. 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing industry. Completion of a weld school is a plus. Comfortable working with tape measures. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The company currently employs 300 individuals in the weld department, with plans to grow to 400. The work culture supports both independent and team-based work. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed leather boots, and a clean work shirt.
