The Design Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accurate design of Wall Panels for Single-Family, Multi-Family and Commercial Projects within UFP Site Built's Northeastern Region. Ideal Candidates located in: Lafayette, CO (If not located in Lafayette, then travel to the plant will be expected) Knowledge/Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Design Experience with knowledge of Truss Design Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience is required Strong Leadership and Supervisor skills Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook Knowledge of Colorado/Utah markets a plus Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking Ability to read and understand blue prints Strong math skills Ability to use a computer, and show proficiency in the use of Mitek and other business and design related software. Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public Ability to communicate effectively with others, including customers, peers, and management Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, to prepare plans, goals and budgets Be mobile in the work environment, travel and work hours mandated by management Ability to pass a drug test Conduct: Good interpersonal skills and good communicator Strong organizational and planning skills Self-managing; works well under little supervision Highly motivated and enthusiastic Be a team player and support the Company's goals Conducts self in a professional manner Requirements: Manage the day to day work flow within the North West Truss team Manage the work schedules of the North West Truss team members Mentor, train, and lead designers on a daily basis Ensure processes and software usage in in accordance with regional standards Motivate team members and ensure high team performance Conduct employee reviews in conjunction with Design Manager Evaluate performance and initiate corrective actions as required Monitor department output to ensure efficient resource utilization Coordinate work flow and scheduling with plant and sales staffs Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise within the team Ensure company policies and employee protocols are followed Perform design functions on a daily basis Receive instruction and fulfill assignments from the Design Manager Attend management meetings and prepare reports as required Performs other duties as required Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually dependent on experiencepay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
