Controls Estimator/Buyer

Job Description I have a client located in the Annapolis, MD area that has an opportunity for a Controls Estimator/Buyer. In this role you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for building automation and control systems projects. This is a temp to possible perm role that must be performed on-site. The pay on this role ranges $30.00 to $50.00 an hour based on experience. Job Requirements: 3+ years of experience in controls estimating, electrical estimating, or building automation systems Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering,, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred Strong understanding of controls, instrumentation, SCADA, DDC Systems, PLC's and related components Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings Ability to use estimating software's and Microsoft Office Knowledge of ABB, Siemens, Schneider is a plus Ability to review project plans, specs, and bid documents for BAS and control systems Ability to perform take-offs for control panels, field devices, wiring, and associated materials Develop labor estimates Track purchases and negotiate for better pricing Assist in purchasing components #VIS
