About Mountain Cascade Mountain Cascade is a heavy civil construction contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across California, with operations in Nevada and Texas. We specialize in water, wastewater, and public works construction, partnering with municipalities and public agencies to build and modernize critical infrastructure. Safety, quality, and regulatory compliance are central to how we build. We are seeking a highly experienced Field Quality Control (QC) Manager to lead quality assurance and compliance efforts on a water treatment plant for a project with SCVWD. About the Role: The Field Quality Control (QC) Manager will lead and manage the project’s Quality Control Program, ensuring all construction activities comply with contract documents, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role operates independently from construction production staff and reports directly to Mountain Cascade senior leadership. The QC Manager will have the authority to stop non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are implemented. This is a critical leadership position focused on quality, documentation, inspections, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned Develop and implement the project Quality Control Plan Conduct daily inspections of construction activities Oversee testing, inspections, and documentation Manage Non-Compliance Notices (NCNs) and corrective actions Maintain QC records and reports Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and testing laboratories Supervise QC inspectors and specialty personnel Ensure subcontractor compliance with quality requirements Be on site whenever permanent work is installed Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and minimum 10 years construction experience on heavy civil or water infrastructure projects OR 15 years of relevant experience Completion of Construction Quality Management for Contractors course (available through USACE/NAVFAC) Experience on water/wastewater treatment plants or large public works projects Prior experience working on similar heavy civil/water infrastructure projects Demonstrated experience managing project-wide quality control program Why Work With Us?
