Surgeon - Scientist Faculty, Shoulder and Elbow The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. Qualified candidates must have completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program, successfully completed an Orthopaedic Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship and must be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, and be able to obtain a California medical license. Applicants are expected to have excellent clinical skills and be willing to actively participate in medical education. Faculty rank and step with UCLA will be determined and commensurate with the applicant's background and accomplishments. The primary responsibilities of this position include: Developing a Shoulder and Elbow Reconstruction specialty practice at UCLA Health. Taking an active role in teaching activities of the department. Contributing creatively to administrative, academic and research activities within the department, as well as participate in University public services. Candidates should be fully engaged in providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered care. We seek an accomplished physician with an interest in developing an academic orthopaedic surgery practice focused on shoulder and elbow reconstruction surgery. The candidate must be comfortable covering general orthopaedic surgery trauma call. Candidates should be enthusiastic about engaging in educating medical students, residents, and fellows, serving the university community, and augmenting one of the nation's leading departments. The salary range for this position is $200,000- $999,999. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
