Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FLFort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a behavioral healthcare facility in South Florida that provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and older adults suffering from drug addiction , mental health issues , and co-occurring disorders . Our fully licensed and accredited private hospital has been providing world-class treatment in a secure and comfortable setting for over 30 years. Position Overview: Role: Full-time Inpatient BC- PMHNP Patient Population: Child-Adult Populations Caseload: 25 patients per day Schedule: 5 days a week, daytime hours. One day a week will include a weekend day. Call: No call required Employment Type: Full-time employed position, on-site only. Additional earnings potential: Productivity Bonus Plan. EMR: Cerner Additional note: No remote or no 7 on 7 off options available for this position Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with our psychiatric physicians to deliver comprehensive psychiatric medical care. Conduct Psychiatric Admitting Evaluations for newly admitted patients. Make treatment recommendations and ensure appropriate orders are implemented. Perform psychiatric rounding in our inpatient settings, supporting our Psychiatrist with weekly med-checks. Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in medical records. Participate in utilization reviews with insurance companies. Provide discharge recommendations and prescriptions for psychiatric medications. Respond to emergency needs or crisis situations as necessary. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive base salary with Productivity Bonus potential. Active FL state licensure A minimum of 2 years experience as a practicing BC PMHNP is required.
