Short-Arc (GMAW) Tack Welder

Job Title: Short-Arc (GMAW) Tack Welder Location: Lockport, LA Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a Short -Arc (GMAW) Tack Welder provides necessary tools a ship fitter and assists as directed to include tacking, grinding, or other assigned duties. Key Responsibilities: Must be familiar with basic welding or fitting processes. Enters and moves through manholes to reach and work in internally confined spaces. Provides ship fitter with assistance whenever deemed necessary. Provides fire watch duties. Must be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces. Must be able to work/climb in elevations greater than 5'. Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) months of tack welding experience. Skills and Abilities: Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on Short Arc (GMAW) Tacker T-join test in the vertical and overhead positions with the vertical position tack welded with downhill progression.
