Scope of Responsibility: Responsible for the planning and execution of the productivity of the department by directing the workflow of a crew of approximately twenty individuals. Essential Duties: Direct a crew of approximately 20 people. Interpret blueprints and read survey stakes with a view to establishing appropriate grades. Motivate crew members to increase productivity and meet work goals. Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations. Visually check equipment and devices for any damages. Report to Supervisor immediately. Check structural drawings for proper set-up and revisions Report part shortages, equipment problems, shelter problems, and tool problems to the Senior Supervisor immediately. Assist with the fabrication of concrete beams, columns, and panels and build wooden molds and clamp them using appropriate hand tools. Additional duties as assigned Position Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent Training in vocational schools or related on-the-job experience preferred Considerable knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in concrete construction and maintenance. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work. Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions. Skill in the use and care of hand and small power tools associated with the work. Must be able to work efficiently without supervision Ability to pay close attention to detail Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources At Sabre Industries, we invest in your future with a competitive benefits program.
