This role is responsible for managing purchase orders, forecasting inventory needs, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring materials are purchased at the best value without compromising quality or service. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage purchase orders based on sales demand and forecasting reportsMonitor and maintain inventory levels, product costs, and purchasing data accuracyTrack and communicate backorder status updates with internal departmentsMaintain strong vendor relationships and supplier performanceIdentify and resolve material shortages, pricing discrepancies, or supply chain issuesProvide purchasing and inventory reports to management for business decision-makingReview system transactions including sales orders, purchase orders, and inventory receiptsAssist departments with supplier, invoicing, and shipping issuesAnalyze supplier catalogs, pricing structures, and discount programsEnsure purchasing practices follow sound, ethical, and cost-effective procurement standards Required Experience & Qualifications4-7 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experienceExperience managing inventory planning and supplier relationshipsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong negotiation, communication, and forecasting skillsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and OutlookHigh School Diploma or GED requiredSpanish language skills are a plus Preferred Background Candidates with experience in the following industries are strongly encouraged to apply:Construction materialsBuilding materials distributionIndustrial supplyConcrete construction equipmentManufacturing or supply chain operations About Barnsco Texas Barnsco Texas, a member of Kodiak Building Partners , has served the Texas concrete construction industry since 1984 .
