We are searching for a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our Client Accounting and Advisory Services team. This role will be based at one of our client's in Glenview, IL. The anticipated, average salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000, with the final offer determined based on business-related factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, education, skill set, and professional certifications. As part of our compensation philosophy, offers are typically not made at the top of the range to allow room for future growth and salary progression over time Essential job duties: Oversight of full-cycle payroll process for Village and Library employees including flow of information from HRIS, payroll and timekeeping systems Coordination with Human Resources department to capture and process payroll updates Liaison to other departments regarding the payroll functions and as a point of contact to respond to payroll questions Administrator and main point of contact for timekeeping systems and payroll system Processes approvals for timesheets in a timely manner Responsible for the creation of reports, updating schedules and shifts in timekeeping software, setting up employees and supervisors, and reviewing employee changes in systems Responsible for reviewing compliance filings including unemployment monthly and quarterly, federal and state tax returns, quarterly 941's and W-2's prepared by Paylocity Understands government payroll rules and regulations including union contracts Completing payroll-related schedules for the annual budget and audit Prepares and records payroll journal entries Maintains an accurate record of time-off taken by employees via the payroll software, and routinely reconnciles with each department. Assists with other general finance/accounting duties as assigned Position Qualifications: 3+years payroll experience, governmental payroll experience is preferred Must have experience processing payroll in Paylocity Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize as needed Strong organizations skills and detail-oriented Highly motivated, self-starter EOE/M/F/D/V/SO
