UCCTs provide flexible, hospital-wide support by stepping in where patient care needs are greatest. As a UCCT, you'll be a vital member of the care team, ensuring safe, compassionate, and efficient care for patients across multiple units. What You'll Do • Float between a variety of hospital units, providing CNA-level patient care and support • Assist with vital signs, patient hygiene, feeding, mobility, and comfort measures • Provide catheter care, including monitoring, emptying, and maintaining catheter systems in collaboration with nursing staff • Collaborate with nurses and providers to support patient care plans • Respond quickly to patient needs, including high-acuity or rapid-turnover areas • Document care activities accurately and maintain strong communication across teams • Help maintain unit supplies, equipment, and overall readiness What We're Looking ForEducation: High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience: One year preferred. One year Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required. Licensure/Certification: Completion of NAI program, required. Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required. Medication Safety - AME, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
