The Role We are seeking a part-time Event Coordinator (contract position), based in New York City or San Francisco, to expand and strengthen our presence within the U.S. cycling community. Events are a core component of our marketing strategy and serve as a primary channel for brand awareness, relationship-building, and high-intent lead generation among serious cyclists. Key Responsibilities: Community Activations: Execute group rides with local cycling clubs, coffee shop takeovers, and pop-up events. Race Partnerships: Manage onsite presence and activations at local and regional races. End-to-End Logistics: Strategic planning, budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation. On-the-ground Execution: Responsible for the physical setup of events (tents, banners, equipment). Lead Generation: Execute effective lead capture and follow-up to contribute to trip bookings. Travel: Ability to travel to major US cities (LA, Seattle, Denver) Candidate Requirements: Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing, Events, or a related field, preferably within the sports or lifestyle industry. Avid Cyclist: Deep knowledge of the local cycling landscape and a commitment to authenticity within the sport. Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and multiple projects independently. Hands-on Approach: Willingness to handle both strategic planning and physical event setup. Logistics: Ability to manage the transport of event materials Position Details: Location: New York City or San Francisco. Compensation: $35/Hour (plus reasonable expenses). Hours: Up to 30 hours per week. Availability for weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends is crucial. Duration: 6-Month Minimum Contract. What Success Looks Like: Success will be measured by Thomson's increased visibility and credibility, consistent execution of high-quality activations, and measurable contribution to trip bookings.
