Technology Professional Development Coordinator Prepares, develops, and conducts courses, workshops, and presentations on various workforce development topics and/or technology-related topics. Researches and prepares course materials. Provides guidance and assistance to staff. Assists in the development and implementation of plans, programs, and strategies for systemwide employee training and development. Assists with management of the Employee Development Center. Coordinates the orderly flow of reservations and building use. Implements building procedures and policies. Performs other duties as assigned. Assists the executive director with the management of building operations. Oversees and makes decisions on routine building use matters requiring the application of past practice, knowledge of building procedures, and the use of judgment and discretion. Develops innovative workflows and solutions to improve building use and building efficiencies. Responsible for communicating, in visual format, building use to leadership. Designs and delivers professional development and or training sessions on relationships, customer service, communication, problem solving, and mutual accountability. Assesses and identifies system-wide workforce development training needs. Assists in the development and implementation of plans, programs, and strategies for professional development and training. Researches and develops training materials and modalities. Provides on-site technology support for professional development activities and training sessions. Performs a full range of skilled Microsoft product functions to develop, format, and produce professional development and or training materials for teachers and staff. Composes correspondence, memos, and signage, both digital and hard copy. Designs and creates materials to ensure efficient building use. Maintains correspondence and document tracking and control systems such building use requests, calendar invites, spreadsheets, and logs. Tracks and ensures follow-through on assigned responses, due dates, reviews, and signatures. Maintains building calendars. Assists with scheduling department, division and systemwide professional development and training sessions and meetings. Makes arrangements for facilities and materials required for meetings. Develops course content and training materials such as handouts, PowerPoint presentations, manuals, and documentation. Revises training materials and course work in response to software changes and upgrades. Designs, schedules, and conducts workshops for school administrators, faculty, staff, and others. Collaborates with departments and offices to identify and address workforce development training issues. Responds to requests for individualized training. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Training and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree. Three years of professional development and training experience. Experience in managing software and procedures used for tracking and documenting systemic usage. Experience in setting up and maintaining organizational practices and procedures. Experience in technical and non-technical writing for technical and non-technical users. Note: Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the class may be considered. Knowledge of principles and practices of professional development. Skill in providing assistance, guidance, and training in the field of technology. Skill in drafting documentation, reports, correspondence, and other written documents. Ability to develop, and conduct courses, workshops, and presentations on various technology and workforce development related topics. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: The duties of this class entail frequent visits to school and office sites throughout Baltimore County. FLSA: Exempt RETIREMENT: Eligible for the Baltimore County Employees' Retirement System. This information is located on the MSDE website at Pre-Employment Requirements: All people employed by the Baltimore County Public Schools, regular and temporary, are required to be fingerprinted and have a criminal background investigation (per COMAR) completed. The fee charged for fingerprinting is $109. Anyone offered employment is required to provide proper identification and documentation of eligibility for employment in the US. If you have military experience, you will be asked to provide a copy of DD214. Official transcripts will be required upon hire and must be sent via e-script/clearinghouse from your university. Some positions will require employees to undergo a physical examination and/or drug testing. All newly hired personnel must attend a Benefits and Retirement Orientation meeting.
