Geospatial Data Specialist

We are looking for a passionate Geospatial Data Specialist with strong skills in the Esri ArcGIS technology framework, particularly on the server side with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcSDE on SQL Server. Main Responsibilities: Directly engage with clients to gather information, understand their challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement. Utilize systems thinking to enhance workflows and processes for superior results. Create business analysis documentation and proposals. Manage and maintain datasets from various sources, ensuring their quality. Implement and administer ArcGIS Server/Enterprise, and integrate various client applications like Operations Dashboard and Collector for ArcGIS. Publish and optimize Web Services; develop or utilize RESTful APIs for enterprise integration and location-based analytics. Design, develop, and document enterprise geodatabases primarily using Microsoft SQL Server. Create custom applications for desktop and web platforms. Conduct complex data analyses to solve spatial and relational challenges. Mentor and train other team members, including analysts, technicians, and interns. Review technical work from other team members and external partners. Assist in scoping GIS projects, developing materials for proposals, meetings, and presentations. Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and provide expertise to clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with software/infrastructure vendors to stay updated on technology advancements. Adapt to new assignments and opportunities as they arise. Role Requirements: At least 7 years of experience with the Esri ArcGIS Platform, including its various applications and extensions. Proficient in Python programming, particularly for ArcGIS applications. Experience with geographic datasets from various government agencies. Strong skills in spatial analysis, data management, modeling, and statistics. Expertise in geodatabase management, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server. Capabilities in application development and GIS scripting. Proficient in the collection, organization, and processing of spatial and tabular data. Excellent writing skills, particularly in GIS-related documentation. Ability to simplify complex systems for diverse audiences. Project management experience. Open-minded, collaborative, and self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning. Determined and focused on achieving positive results. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Earth sciences, computer science, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: GISP certification. Master’s degree in GIS or a related field. Bonus Qualifications: Familiarity with JavaScript, node.js, HTML5, CSS3, and related technologies. Experience with Autodesk products like AutoCAD and Revit. Knowledge of geospatial ETL processes. Understanding of cloud GIS architecture and best practices. Experience with utility network GIS. Skills in machine learning and data analysis techniques. Development of mobile applications, especially iOS. Experience with GNSS and LiDAR data collection and processing.
